When the TARDIS crash-lands on the storm-ravaged planet of Vaystron, the Eleventh Doctor finds a world he remembers as lush and green now reduced to desolation and ruin. Powerful “soundstorms” tear through the landscape, weapons of sonic destruction left by an ancient enemy.
Guided by Sarna Jey, a survivor who recognises him from tales passed down through generations, the Doctor learns of the Vephon and their ultimate weapon: the Echo Chamber—a device that bends time, sound, and reality itself.
Haunted by a figure who seems to know him far too well, the Doctor races against unravelling forces of time to save the remnants of civilisation he may have failed long ago. But as the TARDIS begins to break apart and familiar faces slip through his fingers, the Doctor realizes that stopping the storm might mean sacrificing everything . . . including himself.
